OUT AND ABOUT: ROME
Hello! I recently went to Italy on holiday with my dad and my sister. We went to Rome, Florence and Pisa. I had never been to any of these cities before so it was all really exciting. We spend 7 days in Italy - 4 days and a half in Rome, two in Florence and half a day in Pisa. My favourite city was Rome, it was absolutely beautiful and I enjoyed every minute of it. If you like art/studied it before then I'm sure you would fall in love with Rome. I've always done science and not art and even I enjoyed it! I took a lot of pictures (surprise, surprise) so it's been impossible to fit them all in one post without making it way too long so I've decided to split it into two or three posts (hopefully, I will be able to narrow it down to two). This post will cover the first few days in Italy, which we spent in Rome.
During the first few days we covered pretty much everything 'famous' there is to see in Rome. We went to Piazza Navona, the Pantheon (there are no pictures because someone *cough* me *cough* seemed to be to tired to even focus a picture properly), Fontana di Trevi, the Vatican, the Colosseum, Piazza Spagna, Piazza Venezia and every single ice-cream shop we could find. A while ago I read somewhere that, when in Italy, one must eat at least two scoops of ice-cream a day. Back then I thought that was crazy... I had roughly four scoops a day... yeah... whoops.
Anyway, I'm gonna stop rambling now and leave you to enjoy the pictures!
Come back for part 2 soon!
